12-Minute Core Circuit

The WOW, or Workout of the Week, is a short workout that you can do on your own as an add-on to your training. These workouts are designed to be mostly equipment free (so you can do them anywhere) and of medium to high intensity. Modify as needed depending on your fitness level and intensity needs.

Core workouts are for much more than aesthetics.

Brett says: “Building up your core will help support your entire body and may alleviate some of those nagging body pains, especially in the lower back”.

So, let’s build up that core with the following workout.

You’ll do three to four rounds of these exercises:

  • Supermen
  • Side Plank with Leg Lift
  • Full/Straight Leg Sit Ups
  • Body Saws

Use Gliding Disks, Valslides, furniture slides, or paper plates for the Body Saws. If you don’t have any of those things, just “saw” your body back and forth. It will still be a workout.

Do each exercise for one minute. Rest for 30 to 60 seconds at the bottom of each round.
